Asin, the True Blue Action Girl

Asin did a one-up on the ever helpful character of Kalpana in Ghajini, in real life. She dint think twice about her life while trying to save a little boy from a speeding car. Asin was in her car in Infinity Mall in Andheri(Mumbai) when she saw a poor boy stranded in the middle of the road with cars zipping to and fro past him. Asin to her shock, saw a car rushing towards the poor boy. Without even thinking for a moment, Asin jumped out of her car, leapt across the barrier, lifted the child away from danger. While doing so, Asin lost her balance and fell on the ground. The child landed on Asin and didn't get hurt.

According to a source, Asin suffered severe bruises on her arm and wrist. "Her arms were wrapped in bandages for several days and Asin had to wear full sleeve costumes for her photo shoots".
